Brandofy ("we", "us", "our") provides Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) analytics for brands and sellers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Brandofy you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email, password hash, and authentication provider identifiers (e.g. Google).
• Brand data you provide: brand names, websites, ASINs, competitors, prompts, ICP descriptions, uploaded logos, and billing details.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, audit runs, error logs, and device/browser metadata.
• Cookies & local storage: session tokens, dashboard filter preferences, and analytics identifiers.

2. How We Use Information

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Brandofy service.
• Run audits across AI platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI surfaces).
• Process payments, manage subscriptions, and prevent fraud.
• Send transactional emails, product updates, and (with consent) marketing.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We share data only with vetted processors that support the service:

• Cloud hosting and database providers for storage and authentication.
• Stripe for payment processing and subscription billing.
• AI model providers (OpenAI, Google, Perplexity and similar) which receive prompts you configure in order to generate audit responses.
• Email delivery and analytics providers.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and brand data for as long as your account is active. Audit history is kept to support trend analysis. You may request deletion at any time; backups are purged within 30 days.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level security on tenant data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong unique password.

7. International Transfers

Brandofy is operated from the United States and our processors operate globally. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for cross-border transfers.

8. Children's Privacy

Brandofy is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice before they take effect.
